HelloRoam runs Mali on Orange, the network with the broadest 4G reach for international visitors, which is why one profile holds signal across Bamako, Sikasso, Ségou, Mopti and the Niger River highway corridors. Malitel, formerly Sotelma, provides secondary coverage but carries no visitor eSIM plan. The Dogon Country trekking area near Bandiagara holds 3G at town centres, and the remote cliff villages have no signal.

Northern Mali including Timbuktu and Gao operates under security restrictions, with coverage limited to town centres.
