A Bhutan eSIM runs on TashiCell 4G, the only visitor network

TashiCell is the one network a HelloRoam Bhutan eSIM registers on, and its build follows the tourist circuit precisely: 4G through Thimphu, Paro and Punakha, along the restricted-access road network that links them. B-Mobile, the other Bhutanese operator, sells no visitor eSIM through international platforms in 2026. Above 3,000 metres the signal thins on both networks, so the standard 5 to 8 day circuit is covered and the high trekking routes are not.

TashiCell 4G covers Thimphu's main city zone including the Tashichho Dzong and Clock Tower Square. Paro town and the approach road to Tiger's Nest (Taktsang Monastery) maintain 4G up to the trailhead. Punakha Dzong stays connected on 4G.

High-altitude trails above 3,000 meters lose coverage progressively. The Snowman Trek in remote northwestern Bhutan has no coverage. Coverage is reliable for the standard 5-8 day tourist circuit.

開通方法

Install the eSIM QR code before flying to Paro International Airport (PBH). The profile registers on TashiCell after landing, with no SIM shop visit needed at Paro's small terminal. Bhutan requires visitors to enter with a licensed tour operator, and the eSIM gives you connectivity independent of that arrangement.
