Every iPhone from the XS (2018) onward supports eSIM. Starting with the iPhone 14, all US models are eSIM-only with no physical SIM tray. The iPhone 13 and later support dual eSIM, meaning you can have two active eSIM profiles simultaneously without needing a nano-SIM card at all.

Every Google Pixel from the 3a (2019) onward supports eSIM with most carriers. The Pixel 7 and later support dual active eSIM, letting you run two eSIM profiles at once. Older Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 models technically have eSIM hardware but only work with Google Fi. Pixel Watch models require a paired Pixel phone for eSIM activation.

Samsung has supported eSIM since the Galaxy S20 (2020), and all flagship Galaxy S and Z Fold/Flip models since then include eSIM. However, Samsung eSIM availability varies by region and carrier. US carrier-sold models may have eSIM disabled, and devices sold in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan typically lack eSIM entirely.

Motorola supports eSIM on its Razr foldable lineup (2019 through 2025), the Edge 40 and Edge 50 series, and the ThinkPhone 25. Budget Moto G models generally lack eSIM support. Some Motorola phones carry carrier restrictions that block third-party eSIM profiles, so always verify your device is unlocked before purchasing a travel eSIM.

OnePlus supports eSIM on the OnePlus 11, 12, 13, 13R, 13T, 15, and OnePlus Open. However, eSIM availability depends on your region. US T-Mobile variants often restrict eSIM to T-Mobile only, while unlocked and European models support third-party eSIM providers. OxygenOS places eSIM settings in different menu locations depending on the version.

Xiaomi supports eSIM on the Xiaomi 12T Pro (the first Xiaomi model with eSIM, released 2022), the full 13 series (13, 13T, 13T Pro, 13 Pro, 13 Ultra), the full 14 series (14, 14T, 14T Pro, 14 Pro, 14 Ultra), the full 15 series (15, 15 Pro, 15 Ultra), the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, and the POCO F6 and POCO F6 Pro. Every single one of these models requires Global ROM firmware. China ROM disables eSIM at the system level with no workaround. Budget Redmi and POCO models below the Note 13 Pro tier do not have eSIM hardware at all.

Sony Xperia 1 IV and later, Nothing Phone 1 and later, Honor Magic 5 Pro and later, Oppo Find X5 Pro and later, Vivo X90 Pro and later, and the Fairphone 5 all support eSIM. Huawei phones have extremely limited eSIM support due to US sanctions and lack of Google Play Services. For most of these brands, eSIM availability depends heavily on your region of purchase and whether the device was sold unlocked.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and later (LTE models), Google Pixel Watch 1 through 4, Garmin Forerunner 945 LTE, and select Huawei Watch models support eSIM. Smartwatch eSIM works differently from phone eSIM. Most watches require pairing with a phone and use "number sharing" through your carrier, meaning you share your phone's number and data plan. You generally cannot install a third-party travel eSIM on a smartwatch the way you would on a phone.

Laptops with eSIM support include the Microsoft Surface Pro 9/10/11 (5G models), Surface Go 3/4, Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 10+, HP Elite Dragonfly G3/G4, Dell Latitude 5000-9000 series, and select ASUS business laptops. The critical detail is that most business laptops require a WWAN (cellular) module, and not every SKU includes one. You must purchase the specific cellular-equipped configuration, or in some cases, add the module yourself.
