Every iPhone from the XS (2018) onward supports eSIM. Starting with the iPhone 14, all US models are eSIM-only with no physical SIM tray. US Pixel 10 models drop the nano-SIM tray and use dual eSIM only. The Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 carry eSIM hardware locked to Google Fi. Any data-only travel plan installs on a supported Pixel, including plans from Saily, Ubigi and HelloRoam.

Samsung has supported eSIM since the Galaxy S20 (2020), and every Galaxy S, Z Fold and Z Flip flagship since then includes it. Availability still depends on where you bought the phone. US carrier-sold models can ship with eSIM switched off in firmware, and units sold in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan have no eSIM chip. Once SIM manager shows Add eSIM, any data-only travel plan installs, including plans from Ubigi, GigSky and HelloRoam.

Motorola supports eSIM on the Razr foldables (2019 through 2025), the Edge 40 and Edge 50 series, and the ThinkPhone 25. Moto G budget models ship without eSIM hardware. Carrier-locked units can hide the eSIM menu, so confirm the phone is unlocked before you buy. On an unlocked Motorola, any data-only travel plan installs by QR code, including plans from Nomad, Ubigi and HelloRoam.

OnePlus supports eSIM on the OnePlus 11, 12, 13, 13R, 15, and the OnePlus Open. Availability depends on where the phone was bought. US T-Mobile variants often lock the eSIM to T-Mobile, while unlocked and European models work with third-party providers. OxygenOS moves the eSIM menu between versions, so the setting sits in a different place on each release.

Xiaomi supports eSIM on the 12T Pro (its first eSIM phone, 2022), the 13 series (13, 13T, 13T Pro, 13 Pro, 13 Ultra), the 14 series (14, 14T, 14T Pro, 14 Pro, 14 Ultra), the 15 series (15, 15 Pro, 15 Ultra), the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G and Note 13 Pro+ 5G, and the POCO F6 and F6 Pro. Every one of them needs Global ROM firmware, because China ROM disables eSIM at the system level with no workaround. Budget Redmi and POCO models below the Note 13 Pro tier have no eSIM hardware at all. On a Global ROM device, any data-only travel plan installs, including plans from Nomad, GigSky and HelloRoam.

Sony Xperia 1 IV and later, Nothing Phone 1 and later, Honor Magic 5 Pro and later, Oppo Find X5 Pro and later, Vivo X90 Pro and later, and the Fairphone 5 all support eSIM. Huawei phones have extremely limited eSIM support due to US sanctions and lack of Google Play Services. For most of these brands, eSIM availability depends heavily on your region of purchase and whether the device was sold unlocked.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and later LTE models, Google Pixel Watch 1 through 4, Garmin Forerunner 945 LTE, and select Huawei Watch models carry an eSIM. Smartwatch eSIM is not phone eSIM. These watches run on carrier number sharing, so the watch borrows your phone number and your phone plan. Travel eSIMs do not work on them. The one exception in the whole category is GigSky, which sells Apple Watch data plans through its own app.

Laptops with eSIM support include the Microsoft Surface Pro 9/10/11 (5G models), Surface Go 3/4, Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 10+, HP Elite Dragonfly G3/G4, Dell Latitude 5000-9000 series, and select ASUS business laptops. The critical detail is that most business laptops require a WWAN (cellular) module, and not every SKU includes one. You must purchase the specific cellular-equipped configuration, or in some cases, add the module yourself. Once the module is in place, any data-only travel plan installs by QR code, including plans from Ubigi, Nomad and HelloRoam, because a laptop eSIM needs no phone number.
